Former Lady Jacket Keyoshia Wright And Lady Blues Remain Perfect at Home in Conference Play, February 15, 2012



BLUEFIELD, W. Va. – Charlene Diggs scored 16 first-half points to fuel the Bluefield State College (4-8, 3-3 WVIAC) women's basketball team to a 61-55 win over Wheeling Jesuit University (2-9, 0-8 WVIAC) Saturday afternoon in the Ned Shott Gymnasium.

Diggs finished with 19 points and Kelli Morgan led the reserves with 11. Tasia Nolan led the game with 10 rebounds to help the Lady Blues out-rebound the Lady Cardinals 49-44.

It was BSC's first time beating the Lady Cardinals since the 1998-1999 season, evening their conference record to 3-3, their best start to the conference season in recent history.
