LEESBURG — The Leesburg Yellow Jackets beat the Titusville Terriers 47-37 in a Class 5A-Region 4 quarterfinal game Thursday.

Both teams started sluggishly, with Titusville scoring first from the free-throw line. It would be the only time the Terriers had the lead. Leesburg's Eletra Graham and Danasia Bogle quickly answered, and the Yellow Jackets never looked back.

Over the next 12 minutes, Graham and Bogle each scored seven points, with Keyshawn Johnson putting up three points and Adrienne Jackson adding four.
The Yellow Jackets ended the half up leading 21-16.

Leesburg extended its advantage in the second half, attacking the rim with greater precision and concentration. Jackson and Bogle continued to dominate under the basket, while Graham and Neisha Tyndell helped extend the lead.

The Yellow Jackets will host Orlando Bishop Moore at 7 p.m. on Tuesday in the 5A-4 semifinals.

Titusville’s Alean Davis led with 18 points. Shenelle Bailey had 15 points. Leesburg (18-10) was lead by Graham and Bogle with 14 points apiece. Adrienne Jackson added 11 points.

Live Oak - A trip of one hundred and fifty miles to Live Oak Saturday resulted in victory for the girls's basketball team.

We were without the services of several regulars, who were unable to make the trip, but the nine girls who did go held things together splendidly.

The game saw only one substitution from the Leesburg side lines LeGette for Gorman.
