LAKE MARY - Angie Felton had 21 points Tuesday to eclipse the 1000 point mark for her career in Leesburg's 75-53 victory against Lake Mary Prep.
Felton, also had six rebounds, six assists and five steals, She joined senior teammates Pearl Johnson and Tenia Manuel in breaking the 1,000 point barrier this season.
"It is another testament to her hard work and her perseverance," Leesburg Coach Mark Oates said. "Angie is another one of our seniors who played with us as a freshman, and she has stuck with it and continued to work hard. I am happy for her. To have three kids in one class go over 1,000 points is something special."
Waneta Carlisle had 17 points, 12 rebounds and four steals, LaToya Foster had 13 points, 16 rebounds and four steals, Manuel had 12 points and four rebounds and Johnson had eight points and eight assists for the Yellow Jackets (23-1).
Leesburg honors its seniors Friday night when it plays host to South Lake at 7 p.m.
