Live Oak - A trip of one hundred and fifty miles to Live Oak Saturday resulted in victory for the girls's basketball team.
We were without the services of several regulars, who were unable to make the trip, but the nine girls who did go held things together splendidly.
The game saw only one substitution from the Leesburg side lines LeGette for Gorman.

FAMU women’s basketball coach LeDawn Gibson has a feeling sophomore forward Jaleesa Blue is slowly crawling out of a dark place, following an ACL injury 14 months ago.
“I can’t wait for the lights to come back on,” Gibson said “You haven’t seen the work that Jaleesa could do. Jaleesa is a deadly player; she can shoot from outside, she can attack the basket, she has nice post moves and she reads pass lanes very well. But the lack of foot speed (from the injury) ... she can’t get in the passing lane as she should.
“Jaleesa has a lot to offer this team.”
Blue has been trying, even if the rehab hasn’t gone quite as fast as the Rattlers (9-15, 6-5 in the MEAC) would like. But Gibson isn’t giving up on the former All-State player from Leesburg High School.
She believes the 6-footer could be pivotal to the Rattlers’ bid for a top-four seed in the MEAC tournament. READ MORE CLICK HERE
