Lady Jackets play their way into the Class 4A Regional Final

LEESBURG-The Lady Jackets defeated Gainesville Eastside 52-36 to earn a trip to the Regional Finals against Land O' Lakes, a 69-60 winner of Gulf High. Leesburg Head Coach Mark Oates will lead the Lady Jackets into the Regional Final for third time in four years. With a win Saturday night the Lady Jackets will earn a trip to the State Final Four for the 5th time in the program's storied history. Leesburg was a Final Four team in 1976,1977, 2007 and 2008. That game will be played Saturday at 7:00 at Land O' Lakes .
The Yellow Jackets got a double-double from Florida A&M University signee Jaleesa Blue and the Leesburg Lady Jackets dominated the backboards Tues-day in a 52-36 win against Gainesville Eastside in a Class 4A-Region 2 semifinal game.
Sophomore sensation Ashley Perry led all Lady Jackets scorers with 20 points and 7 rebounds. Senior Jaleesa Blue had 12 points and 17 rebounds while senior Ashley Lanier had 9 points and 16 rebounds. Baylie Bridges and Joharra Russell chipped in 7 and 6 points respectively. Ashlee Bryant paced Eastside with 13 points.
